Vinclozolin is also a potent anti-androgen that binds to receptors in the prostate and has been shown to have toxic effects on cells in vitro. The compound is used as an analytical reagent for determination of fungicides. In vivo animal studies have shown that vinclozolin has adverse effects on reproductive organs such as testes and prostate, leading to sexual dysfunction and infertility.
