Product Information
- Tricyclo[3.3.1.13,7]decane-1,3,5,7-tetracarboxylic acid
- 1,3,5,7-Adamantanetetracarboxylic acid
Adamantane-1,3,5,7-tetracarboxylic acid (ADTA) is a heterocyclic compound with the chemical formula C12H22O8. It has been shown to interact with integrin receptors and form supramolecular structures in the presence of formamide. ADTA can be synthesized by condensation of butyric acid and formaldehyde in the presence of sodium hydroxide. The resulting product is a white solid that crystallizes in tetragonal space group P4/nma. The luminescence properties of ADTA have been studied using x-ray diffraction and pairwise interactions with anions.
