Product Information
DRF-1042 is a quinoline derivative that functions as a fluorescence detector for apoptotic cells. This analog has been shown to induce apoptosis in cancer cells, which can be monitored by the release of cytochrome c from the mitochondria. DRF-1042 binds to the surface of apoptotic cells and emits fluorescent signals that can be detected by a fluorescence detector. The clinical use of DRF-1042 is limited by its low oral bioavailability, which can be improved using sample preparation techniques such as liquid chromatography. DRF-1042 induces cell death through activation of caspase 3, which may lead to a number of toxicities including DNA fragmentation and cell cycle arrest.
