Ac-RYYRIK-NH2 is a chemical compound that has been shown to bind with high affinity to both κ and δ opioid receptors in rat cardiomyocytes. Ac-RYYRIK-NH2 has also been shown to inhibit adenyl cyclase activity and increase the release of dopamine in rat brain cells. Ac-RYYRIK-NH2 is an analogue of the endogenous enkephalin peptide, Met-enkephalin, which binds to kappa opioid receptors. This compound has not been tested for biological activity in animal experiments or human clinical trials, but it has been shown to be effective in vitro assays and cell membrane preparations.
