Product Information
PFI-4 is a small molecule that has been shown to inhibit cancer cell growth and proliferation. It is a hydroxyl group analog that binds to the bromodomain of proteins in the cellular nucleus and blocks the interaction between acetylated histones and transcription factors. PFI-4 also inhibits virus replication, specifically influenza virus, by binding to the stem cell-like antigen. This drug is an optical imaging agent that can be used for optical imaging of cells with stem cell-like phenotypes. PFI-4 also inhibits tumor growth by disrupting the disulfide bond in water molecules.
