Nafcilllin sodium monohydrate is a quinolone antibiotic that belongs to the class of multivariate logistic regression. It is used in the treatment of infections caused by bacteria such as Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Mycobacterium avium complex, and Clostridium difficile. Nafcilllin sodium monohydrate inhibits bacterial growth by binding to the penicillin-binding proteins in the cell wall of bacteria. This prevents the formation of an antibiotic-inhibitor complex with the enzyme cell wall synthesis that is required for cell wall biosynthesis, inhibiting protein synthesis and cell division. Nafcilllin sodium monohydrate has been shown to have antibacterial activity against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including vancomycin-resistant enterococci (VRE).
