Product Information

Name:
BAY 2402234
Description:

BAY 2402234 is a retinoic acid analog that induces apoptosis in cancer cells. This drug has been shown to have potent antitumor activity in vitro and in vivo, which may be due to its ability to inhibit protein synthesis in tumor cells. BAY 2402234 has also been shown to have antiangiogenic properties, which may contribute to the inhibition of tumor growth. BAY 2402234 inhibits cells from differentiating into hematopoietic cells and also blocks cellular differentiation into colorectal carcinoma cells by inhibiting transcription of genes involved in cell proliferation. In addition, this agent has been shown to inhibit protein synthesis and induce apoptosis in solid tumours, such as those found in breast, prostate, pancreas, lung, and colon tissues.
