Product Information

Name:
VCH-916
Description:

VCH-916 is a non-nucleoside NS3 protease inhibitor that blocks the activity of the NS3 protease and prevents the processing of hepatitis C virus (HCV) polyprotein. VCH-916 has been shown to be effective against HCV genotype 1a, which is resistant to most other drugs, as well as genotypes 1b and 3. VCH-916 has been shown to inhibit chronic kidney disease in mice by suppressing the cell function and proliferation of mesangial cells. VCH-916 also inhibits viral replication by preventing the synthesis of viral RNA. This drug potently inhibits a wide range of viruses including HIV, herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV2), influenza A virus (IAV), and vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV). The pharmacokinetics of this drug have been studied in healthy volunteers and patients with chronic kidney disease.
