It is also a ligand for the peroxidase enzyme, which makes it useful in staining techniques. 6BARG can be used as a fluorogenic substrate or as an indicator in chromogenic substrates. It is an important reagent for chemiluminescence and can also be used to measure the concentration of various substances.
