Description:AL 3152 is a galactose-binding lectin that binds to the carbohydrate moiety of galactose and galactosamine. It is used as a marker for the detection of inflammatory cells in tissues. The pharmacokinetics of AL 3152 in Sprague Dawley rats have been studied using biochemical and histological methods. The elimination phase was found to be rapid, with only about one third of the drug being eliminated in urine and about two thirds being eliminated in bile.
