Description:Nonanamide is a glycol ester with an amide group. It has been shown to be effective against infectious diseases, such as HIV and hepatitis B. It has a pyrazole ring that interacts with the amide group, forming hydrogen bonds. Nonanamide has also been shown to inhibit the production of inflammatory cytokines in mice with autoimmune disease, which may be due to its ability to inhibit water vapor. The molecular weight of nonanamide is 134.2 g/mol and it has a melting point of -54°C. Nonanamide is soluble in water and glycol ethers but insoluble in alcohols and oils.
