Product Information
1,4-Bis(diphenylphosphino)benzene is a heterocyclic compound that has been used as a ligand in organometallic chemistry. It is a polynuclear molecule that exists as two isomers, cis and trans. The cis form is more stable and crystallizes with a trigonal bipyramidal geometry. The trans form has an octahedral geometry with the phosphorus atoms in the equatorial positions. 1,4-Bis(diphenylphosphino)benzene has been shown to have photophysical properties and luminescence properties that can be tuned by substitution of the ligands on the phenyl rings. This molecule also interacts with chloride ions to form tetranuclear clusters.
1,4-Bis(diphenylphosphino)benzene has been used in cross-coupling reactions involving halides and other organometallic reagents.
