It is an organic compound that has nucleophilic properties and can react with chloride to form sulfoxide. 2-Chloro-6-methylbenzaldehyde can also react with magnesium to form a dihedral molecule, which is an isomer of 2-chloro-6-fluorobenzaldehyde.
