Product Information
3,5-Bis(4-fluorophenyl)-1H-pyrazole is a dipolar compound that reacts with nucleophiles and electrophiles. It has been shown to be an effective drug for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. The alpha-synuclein protein in the brain can be labeled with 3,5-bis(4-fluorophenyl)-1H-pyrazole by a 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction on the amine group of the protein. This labeling technique is useful for imaging alpha-synuclein deposits in the brain using positron emission tomography (PET) scans. 3,5-Bis(4-fluorophenyl)-1H-pyrazole has also been used as a model substrate for optimizing fluorogenic probes that are used in radiopharmaceuticals.
