Description:

N-Lauryldiethanolamine is a chemical compound with the molecular formula CH(CH)CONHCHCHOH. This product has a phase transition temperature of about -40 degrees Celsius, and is soluble in water at low concentrations. It has a wide range of applications, including use as an additive for polymers, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics. N-Lauryldiethanolamine is also used in sample preparation, as it can be used to remove cations from samples. It is also used as a cationic surfactant that helps to disperse particles in liquid systems. FTIR spectroscopy can be used to identify the hydrogen bonding interactions between the hydroxyl group and nitrogen atoms in this product. The hydrochloric acid can be used to break down the fatty acid groups on the molecule into molecules containing only hydroxyl groups and hydrogen atoms.
