Ethyl Arachidonate has been found to cause an increase in malondialdehyde (MDA), a product of lipid peroxidation, in human liver cells. MDA levels are usually increased during periods of oxidative stress, such as high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP). The compound also increases fatty acid levels in adipose tissue, suggesting that it may be used as an anti-inflammatory agent.
