1-[2-[4-(6-Methoxy-2-phenyl-3,4-dihydronaphthalen-1-yl)phenoxy]ethyl]pyrrolidine (EMDNP) is a ligand that binds to the ion channels TRPV1 and TRPA1. It has been used as a research tool for protein interactions, pharmacology, and cell biology. EMDPN is a high purity compound with an inhibitor activity.
EMDNP has been shown to be an activator of TRPV1 channels. This activation leads to the release of substance P and calcitonin gene related peptide from sensory neurons which results in pain relief.
