Product Information
BAR-501 is an agent that binds to the epidermal growth factor receptor and activates autophagy. It has been shown to reduce body fat in mice by increasing energy expenditure and improving insulin sensitivity. BAR-501 also reduced inflammation in mice with inflammatory bowel disease, which may be due to its ability to suppress pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines. BAR-501 has a high activity index against human liver cells, and it was shown to have no effect on triticum aestivum plants.
