Description

Phenothrin is a pyrethroid that inhibits the activity of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase and disrupts the insect's nervous system. It is used as an insecticide as well as in control analysis, experimental models, and toxicology studies. Phenothrin is classified as a broad-spectrum insecticide because it has been shown to be active against various species of insects. This chemical has also been found to be effective in laboratory tests for controlling infectious diseases caused by bacteria, such as tuberculosis.
