Product Information
Dihydropalmatine is an alkaloid that has been shown to have in vitro antifungal activity against Candida albicans, Aspergillus niger, and Fusarium oxysporum. Dihydropalmatine has also been shown to improve glucose metabolism in diabetic patients by increasing the levels of insulin and reducing the incidence of diabetes-related complications. The mechanism of action for dihydropalmatine is not fully understood, but it may be due to its ability to reduce insulin resistance. In addition, its use as a medicinal preparation may be due to its structural similarity with phenoxyacetic acid and nitrobenzene.
Dihydropalmatine can be detected using an analytical method developed by Shimada et al., which uses a combination of hydrochloric acid and nitrobenzene.
