Description:Cyclovirobuxine D is a steroidal alkaloid component derived from the root of the medicinal plant Buxus microphylla that has been shown to benefit in treating heart failure, arrhythmias, myocardial ischemia, and other cardiovascular illnesses. It is believed to boost Ca (2+) release and absorption during systolic and diastolic phases. Cyclovirobuxine D has also been shown to have a synergistic effect with cyclase inhibitors, such as rolipram and rolofylline, in the prevention of myocardial infarct.
