9-Hydroxyellipticine
CAS:
Ref. 3D-BCA13185

Product Information
Name:9-Hydroxyellipticine
Brand:Biosynth
Description:
9-Hydroxyellipticine is a molecule that binds to the ryanodine receptor, which is a calcium channel in cells. It has been shown to induce denaturation of proteins and inhibit DNA synthesis in rat liver microsomes. 9-Hydroxyellipticine can also bind to the epoxidase activity and subunits of cytochrome P450. The binding of 9-hydroxyellipticine to the cytochrome P450 enzyme prevents it from metabolizing foreign compounds, which may lead to cancer or other diseases. 9-Hydroxyellipticine has also been shown to inhibit proteases that break down proteins and peptides, inhibiting protein synthesis.
