Methyl 3-(2-(benzyl(methyl)amino)ethyl)benzoate hydrochloride is a synthetic drug that is used as an anticonvulsant, nootropic, and psychostimulant. It has been shown to be useful for the treatment of epilepsy, Alzheimer's disease, and Parkinson's disease. Methyl 3-(2-(benzyl(methyl)amino)ethyl)benzoate hydrochloride has also been found to increase reaction time in humans when taken orally at doses between 600 and 1200 mg/day. The timing of methyl 3-(2-(benzyl(methyl)amino)ethyl)benzoate hydrochloride administration appears to have a statistically significant effect on its effectiveness. Treatment with methyl 3-(2-(benzyl(methyl)amino)ethyl)benzoate hydrochloride can be accomplished by administering ester hydrochloride or acid methyl ester.
