Product Information
Odonicin is a labiate-type diterpenoid that has been found to have anticancer activity. It has significant cytotoxic effects on K562 cells, HL-60 cells, and other cancer cell lines. This compound has been shown to activate the p38 signaling pathway in human leukemia cells and inhibit the growth of human fibrosarcoma cells. Odonicin also showed significant inhibitory activities against imatinib-resistant CML cells and tumor growth in mice. This compound was isolated from a Chinese herb called Labiatae. Odonicin was identified by 2D NMR spectroscopy, which led to the determination that it contains a cyclohexane ring.
