Description:Tcpobop is an enzyme inducer that increases the metabolic rate and alters lipid metabolism. It has been shown to up-regulate genes involved in energy metabolism, such as fatty acid synthase, and genes involved in iron homeostasis, such as hepcidin. Tcpobop also inhibits cellular growth by causing cell cycle arrest at G1 phase and inducing apoptosis. Tcpobop enhances the expression of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) in CD-1 mice. This may be due to its effects on protein synthesis and gene transcription.
