Product Information
Apomorphine is a non-selective dopamine receptor agonist that is used in the treatment of Parkinson's disease. Apomorphine, also known as (R)-apomorphine-d4 hydrochloride, is an activator of G-protein coupled receptors. It has been used to study ion channels and peptides, as well as to identify the binding site for various ligands. Apomorphine has been shown to inhibit the enzymatic activity of protein interactions that are important for cell proliferation and survival, including interactions between receptor tyrosine kinases and their substrates, adhesion proteins, and integrin receptors. This drug also has been shown to decrease the levels of beta amyloid plaques in Alzheimer's disease.
