Enniatin B1 is a natural compound that belongs to the group of drug transporters. It has been shown to inhibit the uptake of drugs by cells and is used in toxicological studies as a matrix effect control. Enniatin B1 was found to bind to the cytoplasmic membrane and prevent drug transport into cells, thereby inhibiting cellular uptake and metabolism. Histological analysis showed that enniatin B1 inhibits proliferation of cells in vitro. In vivo studies have shown that this compound can be used for the treatment of zearalenone-induced symptoms in rats.
