Product Information
Sanggenol P is a flavonoid isolated from the leaves of Elateriospermum ursinum. This compound has antimycobacterial activity and may be useful for the treatment of tuberculosis. Sanggenol P also has antioxidative, anti-inflammatory, and antifungal properties. It inhibits the growth of bacteria by binding to their cell walls and preventing the synthesis of new cell wall material. The chemical structure of this compound is similar to that of other flavonoids such as yucalexin p-17, ginkgetin, and lupeol acetate.
