GSK805 is a recombinant protein that acts as an inhibitor of the integrin receptor. The protein blocks the binding of the integrin to its ligands, thereby preventing inflammatory and autoimmune diseases by reducing the activation of immune cells. GSK805 has been shown to be effective in animal models of bowel disease and skin cancer. It also inhibits the proliferation of colon cancer cells in vitro and reduces inflammation in bowel disease.
