Amaronol B is a natural product that was isolated from the leaves of Pseudolarix kaempferi. This compound has been shown to have antimicrobial activity against Candida albicans, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, and Trichophyton rubrum. Amaronol B has also been shown to inhibit the growth of amabilis and pseudolarix. It is an enantiomer with a stereocenter at the C-3 position. The other enantiomer is called amaronol A.
