Product Information

Name:
MOZ-IN-2
Synonyms:
  • 2-(N'-(Benzenesulfonyl)-2-fluoro-5-(pyridazin-4-yl)benzohydrazide
Description:

MOZ-IN-2 is a research tool that can be used to explore the relationship between ion channels and ligands. It is a peptide inhibitor of potassium channels, which are important for the regulation of neuronal excitability and muscle contraction. MOZ-IN-2 binds to the pore region of potassium channels and blocks ion flow, inhibiting their function. This product has been shown to activate ATP-sensitive potassium channels in rat cortical neurons and inhibit calcium currents in cultured rat cerebellar granule cells. MOZ-IN-2 also inhibits voltage gated sodium channels in rat dorsal root ganglion neurons, leading to reduced pain transmission.
