It is used to treat inflammation, which is caused by pro-inflammatory substances such as cytokines, chemokines, and prostaglandins. FAAH inhibitor 1 is being investigated for its ability to inhibit multidrug resistance in cancer cells. This drug has also been shown to reduce neutrophil recruitment and inflammation in the target tissue. In addition, this drug has been shown to be effective against cyclosporin-resistant neutrophils by inhibiting the function of multidrug resistance protein.
