A highly selective WD repeat-containing protein 5 (Wdr5) antagonist and modulator of histone lysine methylation. The compound competitively disrupts the interaction between the Wdr5 and Wdr5-INteracting region (WIN) of methyltransferases. It inhibits the cell proliferation and restores differentiation in p30-dependent acute myeloid leukemia models.
