Pamiparib is a drug that is used to treat breast cancer and other solid tumours. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of the P-glycoprotein (P-gp) transporter, which prevents the escape of anticancer drugs from cells, resulting in increased concentrations of these drugs in tumour tissues. Pamiparib binds to the PDGFR-β receptor, inhibiting the growth factor epidermal growth factor (EGF). Pamiparib has been shown to be effective on resistant prostate cancer cells with high levels of EGF receptors. This drug also inhibits adenosine diphosphate ribose (ADPR) synthesis and platinum-based chemotherapy, as well as radiation therapy. The pharmacokinetic properties of pamiparib have been shown through plasma concentration-time curves for a single dose and multiple doses over time.
