NSC781406 is a drug that has been shown to have anti-tumor effects in animal models of cancer. It is an inhibitor of phosphatases, which are enzymes that remove phosphate groups from phospholipids and proteins. NSC781406 has been shown to inhibit the growth of tumor cells in xenograft models. In addition, it inhibits the proliferation of pancreatic cancer cells in vitro and reduces tumor size in mice with pancreatic cancer. NSC781406 induces cytotoxic effects by modulating the activity of enzymes involved in cellular signaling pathways such as phosphoinositide kinase (PI3K) and protein kinase C (PKC).
