TVB-3166 is a synthetic chemical compound that has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in xenograft models. It inhibits the energy metabolism of cancer cells, which reduces the production of ATP and glycolysis. TVB-3166 also targets the protein target known as CDK2, which is involved in cell cycle regulation. The compound has been shown to activate the apoptosis pathway by inhibiting the transcriptional activity of CDK2. TVB-3166 also has anti-tumor effects on resistant breast cancer cells and carcinoma cell lines. This drug can be used as an adjuvant therapy with taxanes to treat certain types of cancers, such as carcinomas.
