It has been shown to inhibit the activation of these channels and to block the opening of voltage-gated potassium channels. BigLEN is an excellent research tool for investigating the interactions between proteins and ion channels. It is also used as an immunoprecipitant, which can be used to isolate protein complexes from cells or tissue samples.
