Product Information
Lesinurad sodium is a prodrug that is hydrolyzed to form ethyl formate, which inhibits the acid transporter (NT) in the kidneys. It is used for the treatment of chronic gouty arthritis and hyperuricemia associated with the use of xanthine oxidase inhibitors or allopurinol. Lesinurad sodium has been shown to be effective in reducing serum uric acid levels and pain symptoms in patients with chronic gouty arthritis. The drug has a plasma concentration-time curve that follows first-order kinetics and an elimination half-life of 15 hours. Lesinurad sodium has been shown to inhibit NT activity by structural formula, reaction yield, introducing techniques, and pharmacodynamics.
