Description:KPR-2579 is a chemical substance that has been shown to be effective in the treatment of bladder hyperactivity. It is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme adenylyl cyclase, which leads to a reduction in the levels of cyclic AMP. This compound also suppresses the activity of afferent nerves and prevents structural changes in the bladder. KPR-2579 was also shown to have an effective dose for reducing blood pressure in Sprague-Dawley rats. Cryo-electron microscopy revealed that it causes infarction at high doses, but does not cause any damage at lower doses.
