6-Chloro-3-indoxyl butyrate is a chemiluminescent substrate that is used in diagnostics and research. It has been shown to be an excellent ligand for the detection of DNA and protein. 6-Chloro-3-indoxyl butyrate can also be used as a chromogenic substrate for the detection of alkaline phosphatase, acid phosphatase, or beta-galactosidase. This product is also used in food testing, enzyme substrates, and fluorogenic substrates.
