Description:ADB-PINACA is an indazole-3-carboxamide synthetic cannabinoid recently identified in herbal mixes1. It acts as a full agonist at both CB1 and CB2 cannabinoid receptors (EC50 = 0.59 nM and 0.88 nM, respectively) and contains a L-tert-leucinamide side chain. Binding to the CB receptors results in Gi/o-mediated inhibition of adenylate cyclase which leads to a decrease in intracellular cAMP concentration2,3. In studies on experimental mice models, usage of ADB-PINACA resulted in depression of locomotor activity similar to that of Δ9-THC, and a much quicker onset of manifestations compared to other synthetic cannabinoid receptor agonists2.
