Description:

Triethyl(methoxy)silane is a cross-linking agent that is used in the fabrication of magnetic particles. It reacts with inorganic acids and forms a substrate film, which is then coated with an oxide, such as SiO2 or Al2O3. This coating provides protection for the magnetic particles during thermal expansion. Triethyl(methoxy)silane can also be used as a polymerization initiator and to form coatings on other materials, such as fabrics and metal surfaces. This chemical has hydroxyl groups that can act as antioxidants, preventing oxidation of other compounds by reacting with oxygen molecules.
