• Description: Direct Blue 2 is a reactive dye that can be used as a redox indicator. The diameter of Direct Blue 2 molecules ranges from 7 to 10 nm and they are amides. The molecule contains one fatty acid that can be metabolized by peroxidases or other microorganisms into short-chain carboxylic acids that are biodegradable.
