Isoprocarb is an organophosphate insecticide that inhibits the enzyme glutamate pyruvate transaminase, which is involved in the energy metabolism of cells. It has been shown to be effective against high-resistant strains of insects. Isoprocarb also has a detoxification enzyme system, which may facilitate its degradation by epidermal growth factor and dispersive solid-phase extraction.
