Description:Daurinoline is a drug that has been shown to be effective against cancer, including resistant cancer. It inhibits the production of noradrenaline by binding reversibly to the adrenergic alpha-2 receptor and stabilizing it. This in turn has been shown to inhibit tumor growth. Daurinoline has also been shown to be active against epirubicin and taxol-resistant cells and is able to stabilize adriamycin-resistant cells. Daurinoline has not yet been evaluated in humans, but it has shown promising results in animal studies.
