Product Information
Neocryptotanshinone II is a compound that has been isolated from the rhizome of Gastrodia elata. It is a low-molecular-weight compound that has been shown to have antidiabetic properties, due to its ability to inhibit the activity of toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) and lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced inflammatory responses in macrophages. Neocryptotanshinone II also has an inhibitory effect on fatty acid synthesis and chinese medicine preparation, as well as being used as an additive for chinese medicinal herbs. Neocryptotanshinone II's molecular docking analysis showed it binds with high affinity to the active site of carthamus tinctorius, which is a plant commonly used in traditional Chinese medicine.
