Product Information
Trans-4-Acetoxycinnamic acid is a cinnamic acid derivative that is an inhibitor of tyrosinase. It is also a potent inhibitor of amide hydroxylation, which leads to the formation of melanin and its derivatives. Trans-4-Acetoxycinnamic acid has been shown to inhibit the transition of the cinnamic acid derivatives and the oxidation of cinnamic acids by tyrosinase. This compound also inhibits the production of piperazines, which are precursors for polyphenol synthesis. Trans-4-Acetoxycinnamic acid has been shown to be an active site for tyrosinase and has potent tyrosinase inhibiting activity at lower temperatures.
