1,7-Diacetoxyheptane is a viscous liquid with a particle size of about 1.2 microns that is used as a lubricant and coolant. It has been found to have functional groups such as ester, ether, and ketone. 1,7-Diacetoxyheptane has been used in experimental studies to determine the optimum conditions for its use in groundnut oil extraction.
