4-Bromo-2-ethoxy-1-methoxybenzene is an analog of the amino group that has potent antiproliferative activity. It is a derivative of 4-bromo-2-ethoxybenzene, which is a potent anticancer agent. 4-Bromo-2-ethoxy-1-methoxybenzene has been shown to have antitubulin and antiproliferative activity in vitro against human colon cancer cells (HCT116) and tumor growth in vivo. The drug also inhibits the enzyme phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4), which may contribute to its antiangiogenic properties.
