5-Bromonaphthalen-1-ol is a ligand that binds to the intracellular targets of the nuclear receptor peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARα). It is a mimetic of the natural ligand, which is a macrocyclic. The ligand has been biotinylated at the n-terminal and used in affinity chromatography to isolate PPARα from other proteins.
